Pinewood Derby   Pinewood derby is a racing event where the participants design and build a gravity propelled car from the block, wheel and axles provided in the kits. Participants are urged to be creative in the car shape and painting. The cars will be raced on the official Canada Day Track at the Canada Day Festival on July 1. Instructions are available in the kits or at this link ( ignore the old dates ). Pinewood Derby cars from previous years will be accepted this year. Pinewood Derby kits are available at Shearlea Acres, 3826 Hwy 99, Lynden, ON. The cost of each kit is $5. Cars may be entered in the following categories: 0- 5 years old 6-10 11-18 Adult Outlaw ( cars need not conform to rules, no prize awarded )
